With Thanksgiving approaching, I feel like I don’t thank the people who have gave me everything enough. So, I just want to tell them how much I appreciate everything they have done for me and are still doing for me. They have always gone over and beyond for me and I know words can’t describe how thankful I am for that.
Firstly, I would like to thank my dad for getting me into softball at a young age, because although I chose not to play in college, softball was and always will be an important part of my life. I would like to thank you for driving me to tryout after tryout. And for driving me every weekend to a new tournament in a new place. We were never home during the summer, and I know mom hated it at times, but she always supported us through everything. And I would like to thank you for that, Mom. I know it was hard sometimes, but softball was so important to us. And I never truly thanked you for supporting Dad and I.
You guys have always gave me everything, even though sometimes I know it was hard. And I know I can be difficult at times, and the eye roll gets old fast, but you guys have tried so hard to give Kali and I everything. Even if money was tight at times, Dad would work overtime just so you both could give us everything. And you have succeeded because you’re the greatest parents out there. You guys have made a great role model for us, and I want to thank you for that. You have stayed together through thick and thin, and I love you guys so much for that.
Mom, I also would like you for being my shoulder to cry on. Whether it was a boy that broke my heart, drama with my friends, or just because I was sad, you have always been there for me in my time of need. You have always given me the best advice, and I am so thankful for that. And Dad, thank you for trying to protect me when it comes to guys. I know I think I can handle myself and that I tend to always give people the benefit of the doubt, but you have always tried to protect me from people who you know are not worth my time.
I also would like to thank you guys for taking us on family vacations throughout the years. We always had the best times where ever we went because we were together as a family.
Lastly, I would like to thank you guys for supporting me over the years. College can be hard sometimes, but you both have always supported my decisions over the years. With choosing my major and deciding my future career choices you both have supported me along the way. Especially when I chose to study abroad in the summer. I know it was hard to let your 21-year-old daughter go to various countries by herself, but you guys supported me along the way, and I am forever thankful for that.
So, thank you Mom and Dad, for going over and beyond for me. You’re the best.
Your daughter Lauren
