Being in your 20’s is a confusing time and it’s hard to figure out the right path to take. There’s a lot of stuff that you’re supposed to do (go to college, get a job, make a decent amount of money, etc.) but what if you find yourself doing all these things and you’re not happy. It’s okay to not have a clue what you want to do with your life. Everyone has been there at some point in their life. Figuring it out is just the hard part. So what do you do when you literally have no clue what to do with your life? I’m not entirely sure, but this is what I have been doing.
It’s only natural to panic when your life is a complete and utter mess and maybe panicking isn’t so bad after all. I mean at least you care that your life is an utter mess…right?
2. Apply, apply, apply
Applying for jobs is the most stressful process ever and not hearing anything back from any of these jobs is even more stressful. How are we supposed to have all this experience when no one will hire you for you to gain experience? All I can say is to keep trying and to not give up on the job search process. You will figure it all out eventually.
It’s hard to realize that everything will work itself out. Especially when nothing seems to be going your way, but no matter what road you take, and no matter how long it takes you to figure it out it will be okay. Just breath. Life has a funny way of working itself out when you least expect it. So just breath.
Maybe these three things aren’t helpful at all, but it doesn’t matter what road you take. As long as this road makes you happy. You don’t always have to take the road that everyone wants you to take, or the road that you’re supposed to take. Take the road that feels right and the road the will make YOU happy, because that’s all the matters. You don’t have to make everyone else happy. Do the things that make YOU happy. Maybe then you will have a clue what you’re doing with your life.
